This was another massive stage. Really a transit stage which took us from our current home in Robertson to Greyton. Some fast dirt roads had us averaging around 33 kmh for 25km, before the climbing really started.

Punching way above our weight, we were sitting around 50th position in the field until the second water point at around 60km. From here the high pace took its toll. We were struggling as a team to hold on to the fast bunches, which left us exposed and solo into a massive headwind for the next 70km.

Riding as a team is what the epic is about, and we dug deep as a team of two to bring SXC Racing home. After today i am totally spent - riding alot off the front into the wind. Brian is struggling from stomach ailment which is stopping his food / energy intake.

Surprisingly we managed to bring it home (albeit in a crawl), ending with a Stage result of 19th in category and 106th overall. The days result lifts us at 19th in category and 107th overall.
